Seward Windsong Lodge
A riverside lodge in the Exit Glacier valley, used for one Seward night on Celebrity and Royal Caribbean’s Kenai Fjords cruisetours.
Your base for Kenai Fjords
Seward Windsong Lodge sits in the forested Exit Glacier valley along the Resurrection River, a few minutes from the port town of Seward and the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. Its rooms are spread across low cedar buildings among the spruce and cottonwood, with a big river-rock fireplace in the lobby.
Celebrity and Royal Caribbean use it for one night on their longer cruisetours, either right before you board in Seward or right after you step off the ship. On these tours, a narrated Kenai Fjords National Park cruise or a Resurrection Bay wildlife cruise is part of your Seward day.
Inside the stay
Rooms in the valley
Standard rooms have two queens and Alaska-style log furniture; deck rooms add a private sitting area outside, and the premium deck rooms and suites have the newest decor. Rooms have exterior entrances and no air conditioning, which is rarely needed in Seward.
Resurrection Roadhouse
The lodge’s restaurant and bar is a short walk from your room, serving breakfast and dinner with Alaska seafood, hand-tossed pizzas and local brews, plus one of Seward’s best outdoor decks. Heading out early? Mt. Hunter Coffee Co. in the lobby has coffee and grab-and-go breakfast.
Glaciers & the bay
Your included cruise heads out from Seward’s small boat harbor to look for whales, sea otters and tidewater glaciers. With free time, you can walk up close to Exit Glacier, visit the Alaska SeaLife Center or book an optional dog sled ride on a glacier through your guide. A lodge shuttle runs to downtown, the harbor and the train station.

- How long. 1 night here, most often 1 night.
- Want more time here? Some tours add an extra night. Tell your advisor and we’ll find the version that fits.
Before you go
- Ship packages stay on the ship. Your ship dining and beverage packages don’t apply on the land portion of any cruisetour, so plan to pay as you go for meals and drinks at the lodge.
- Bring warm, waterproof layers. The Kenai Fjords cruise is cold and windy on deck, even in July. A hat, gloves and a rain shell make it much more comfortable.
- Use the shuttle. The lodge is outside town, but its shuttle covers downtown Seward, the harbor and the train station.
