Sophie Station Suites
An all-suite Fairbanks hotel with kitchens and balconies, used for two nights on Celebrity and Royal Caribbean’s longest cruisetours.
Room to spread out in Fairbanks
Sophie Station Suites is a locally owned all-suite hotel, part of Fairbanks’ Fountainhead Hotels, where every suite comes with a fully equipped kitchen and most have a balcony over the landscaped flower gardens. That extra space is welcome on the two-night Fairbanks stays of the longest Celebrity and Royal Caribbean cruisetours.
Zach’s, the hotel’s restaurant, is a Fairbanks favorite for breakfast, dinner and dessert, and the included Riverboat Discovery and Fairbanks city tour fill one of your days.
Inside the stay
Suites & Zach’s
Suites range from one-bedroom layouts with a separate living area to junior and Jacuzzi suites, all with a kitchen. Zach’s Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in summer (with balcony seating), the Express Room Lounge pours Alaska beers and wine in the evening, and room service is available while Zach’s is open.
Two days in Fairbanks
These itineraries include a Fairbanks city tour and the Riverboat Discovery sternwheeler on the Chena River. Your free day is good for the Museum of the North or an optional excursion your guide can book.
Tours that stay here
- Celebrity 2027 and 2028 cruisetours
- Royal Caribbean 2027 and 2028 cruisetours
- How long. 2 nights here, most often 2 nights.
- Want more time here? Some tours add an extra night. Tell your advisor and we’ll find the version that fits.
Before you go
- Ship packages stay on the ship. Your ship dining and beverage packages don’t apply on the land portion of any cruisetour, so plan to pay as you go for meals and drinks at the lodge.
- Use the kitchen. Two nights with a full kitchen means you can stock up on breakfast and snacks and save the restaurant for dinner.
- Arriving early? Guests who fly in a day early book the extra night directly with the hotel and ask to keep the same room for the tour nights. Tell your advisor so we can pass it along to the cruise line.
