A Concerto-Class Ship Made for Europe’s Rivers
AmaVenita is one of AmaWaterways’ award-winning Concerto-class ships, with 81 staterooms and suites for 162 guests and a crew of 51. Most staterooms have the line’s signature twin balconies, a French balcony and a step-out balcony side by side. Guided excursions in every port, beer and wine with lunch and dinner, the daily Sip & Sail cocktail hour, Wi-Fi and complimentary bikes are all included.
Danny says the design is beautiful, but it’s the crew that makes Ama exceptional. In this tour he walks AmaVenita from the front desk and the Lark Café through the lounge, library, boutique, Journeys Restaurant and The Chef’s Table, then up to the Sun Deck pool, the walking track and the fitness room. AmaVenita Highlights

Front Desk & Lark Café
Guests step aboard to a sweeping staircase, the elevator and a front desk that works like a hotel's. The hotel manager looks after details on board, while the cruise manager stays with guests from pre-departure to post-cruise. Excursions are best booked ahead, but plans can still change on board. Nearby, the Lark Café pours complimentary espresso drinks, hot chocolate and teas 24 hours a day, with a small seating area to linger.
Lark Lounge
The Lark Lounge is where everyone gathers. The evening Sip & Sail happy hour brings complimentary cocktails, followed by a briefing on the next day, port lectures and demonstrations. A piano sits to one side for local acts, and a dance floor fills the middle. Forward, lounge seating has views all around, light bites are set out at breakfast and lunch, and tapas can be ordered throughout the day. Just outside is an outdoor terrace with tables.

Journeys Restaurant
The main restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, with booth seating, tables for four, six and larger groups, and a captain's table on the far side. Breakfast and lunch are buffet style, including a carving station, and the menus lean on regionally inspired dishes. At the entrance, two wine rooms can be used by larger parties celebrating something special, first come, first served. Beer and wine are included with lunch and dinner.
The Chef's Table
All the way aft, The Chef's Table is something uniquely Ama. The multi-course tasting menu, which Danny counts at 15-plus courses, is paired with wine and prepared in an open kitchen right in front of guests. It's included in the fare, and each guest gets a chance to dine here during the cruise, reserved on board. The space also works well for group events and private get-togethers, which Harr Travel arranges often.

Sun Deck Pool & Swim-Up Bar
Forward on the Sun Deck, two large wraparound sofas, a food station with bites through the day and bistro tables make a scenic lounge with drink service while sailing. Behind them sits the heated pool. Guests can sit on the edge and dip their toes in, or step all the way down to the swim-up bar. Because Ama ships are built to slip under low bridges, the bridge and the deck furniture fold down.
Walking Track, Massage & Fitness
A walking track loops the Sun Deck, where the onboard wellness host leads yoga, stretching and resistance classes. Loungers sit under large umbrellas, tables invite a game of chess or a glass of wine through the vineyards, and a shade structure aft has ottomans for reading. Inside, a massage therapist offers treatments for an added charge, and the fitness room has two treadmills, two bikes, a pulley machine and free weights.

Signature Experiences on AmaVenita
Swim-Up Bar
A heated pool on the Sun Deck with a swim-up bar, a rare find on a river ship. Guests can sit on the edge or slip into the water and order a drink as the scenery drifts by.

An intimate tasting dinner with wine pairings, cooked in an open kitchen at the aft of the ship. It's included in the fare, and each guest has a chance to dine here during the cruise.
▶ See it · 5:31Fold-Down Sun Deck
AmaWaterways builds its ships with a low draft to pass under bridges others can't at different water levels. The bridge rides on hydraulics, and the deck furniture folds down as well.
