Celebrity Eclipse

Celebrity’s third Solstice Class ship pairs real grass at the Lawn Club and live glassblowing with a two-story main restaurant, Michael’s Club for suite guests and four specialty restaurants. We’ve walked the decks and filmed the rooms, so you can see your room before you book.

A Solstice Class Favorite Built to Sail the World

Celebrity Eclipse entered service in April 2010 as the third of Celebrity’s five Solstice Class ships, after Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Equinox. She was built by Meyer Werft in Germany and carries the class signatures guests love: half an acre of real grass at the Lawn Club, Hollywood Hot Glass, the all-weather Solarium and an elegant two-story main restaurant. Suite guests get Michael’s Club and Luminae, and AquaClass guests dine at Blu.

Danny calls the Solstice Class some of his all-time favorite ships in the industry. In this 2025 tour he starts on the pool deck and the Lawn Club, walks through the Oceanview Café, the spa, the Sky Lounge and Camp at Sea, then heads down to the specialty restaurants, bars and grand foyer. Celebrity Eclipse Highlights

Pool Deck & Solarium on Celebrity Eclipse

Pool Deck & Solarium

The main pool deck has two good-sized pools and four hot tubs, with loungers facing the water, the sea and the shade. The pool bar sits in the middle, and one deck up the Mast Bar and Mast Grill serve drinks, burgers, hot dogs, fries and soft-serve. Under glass, the Solarium has a pool big enough for laps, a waterfall, quiet music and padded loungers. Its Spa Café serves lighter dishes and fresh juices.

Danny's tip: “The Solarium pool is big enough for laps, and I find it's perfect for that in the morning and later in the evening.”

Lawn Club & Sunset Bar

The Lawn Club, at the top of the ship toward the back, is covered in real grass. When the Solstice Class debuted, it was the first time a lawn had been done at scale on a cruise ship. Guests walk barefoot, picnic or play bocce and putt-putt. Hollywood Hot Glass gives glassblowing demonstrations and hands-on sessions. All the way aft, the Sunset Bar has tables, faux fire pits and tiered seating facing the wake.

Danny's tip: “Every time I'm on a cruise ship, the first place I go is all the way aft. The Sunset Bar is always my absolute favorite on Celebrity.”

Oceanview Café on Celebrity Eclipse

Oceanview Café

The Oceanview Café is the casual buffet for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night eats, with floor-to-ceiling windows wrapping around 270 degrees. Stations include fresh pizza that runs late, a made-to-order pasta bar, a carving station, a Mediterranean bar, Indian and Asian spreads and a grill with eggs made to order at breakfast. Complimentary ice cream, sorbet and gelato are close by, and an aft terrace has its own bar.

Danny's tip: “I always head to the very back of the café. The front fills up quickly, especially on boarding day, and the aft terrace is my favorite spot to eat on the ship.”

The Spa & Persian Garden

Wellness is woven through Celebrity, and the spa is larger than usual for a ship this size. It offers massages, wraps, a Medi-Spa, a full salon and a barber shop, plus a relaxation room facing the sea. The Persian Garden thermal suite adds heated ergonomic stone loungers, a steam room, an aromatic room and experience showers. It's an extra cost unless you've booked AquaClass, and the locker-room saunas are complimentary.

Danny's tip: “Pre-book your treatments if you can, and stop by on the first day for a complimentary tour. My favorite is the hot stone massage, and those heated loungers are great for my back.”

Sky Lounge on Celebrity Eclipse

Sky Lounge

Perched forward on Deck 14, the Sky Lounge is a classic observation lounge with 270-degree windows and extra-tall ceilings. By day it's a calm place to take in scenic cruising. In the evening it becomes the ship's nightclub, with a dance floor, live band karaoke, trivia and other entertainment. A circular Sky Bar sits in the middle, surrounded by lounge seating, tables for two and four and large booths.

Danny's tip: “I love that the Sky Bar has an espresso maker, so you can get an espresso martini at night or a coffee in the morning.”

Camp at Sea & X Club

Camp at Sea welcomes kids 3 to 12 in three groups. Shipmates (3 to 5) have toys, reading time and craft nooks. Cadets (6 to 9) get movies, board games and video game stations. Captains (10 to 12) build robots and learn coding. Teens have the X Club, with oversized bean bags, Xbox stations, a foosball table and their own dance floor. Families check in on the first day to get wristbands.

Danny's tip: “Check in on the very first day. I add my parents as approved pickups, so if my wife and I are out for dinner at Tuscan Grille, my dad can pick up my daughter.”

Specialty Dining on Celebrity Eclipse

Specialty Dining

Eclipse has four specialty restaurants, each an extra cost. Sushi on Five serves rolls, sashimi and other Japanese dishes. Murano is classic French fine dining with tableside flambé and lobster, plus a wine room that hosts the Chef's Table. Le Petit Chef pairs dinner with animated stories projected onto the table. All the way aft, Tuscan Grille marries a steakhouse with handmade Italian pastas and is one of the most popular spots on board.

Danny's tip: “Sushi on Five is my spot. I come six or seven times on a seven-night cruise, for pre-dinner sushi, post-dinner sushi and sometimes sushi for dinner.”

Martini Bar & Cellar Masters

Wrapped around the atrium on Deck 4, the ice-topped Martini Bar is something Celebrity is famous for. It's the ship's central hub, with flair bartending and music drifting up from the foyer below. Nearby, Cellar Masters is a classic wine bar with tasting tables, wines in the fridges and cozy seating for two or four. It hosts wine tastings and sometimes whiskey tastings, or guests can stop by for a single glass.

Danny's tip: “If you love wine, Cellar Masters is where I go. You'll find wine all over the ship, but this is the best selection on board.”

Signature Experiences on Eclipse

Hollywood Hot Glass

Right on the Lawn Club, glassblowers give live demonstrations at sea, and guests can try it themselves. Danny's advice: sign up as soon as you board. You can even buy the finished pieces.

▶ See it · 4:09

Le Petit Chef

Dinner and a show: screens above each table project a story about your food, like how the Aztecs first farmed tomatoes, before the matching dish arrives. Book it on its own or in a dining package.

▶ See it · 32:54

Moonlight Sonata

The complimentary main restaurant spans two stories, designed by Adam Tihany, with chandeliers and a massive wine tower at one end. Tables range from cozy twos to tables for ten where you can meet new people.
