Celebrity Equinox

Celebrity’s second Solstice Series ship pairs real grass on the Lawn Club and glassblowing at sea with The Retreat, Craft Social and four specialty restaurants. We’ve walked the decks and filmed the rooms, so you can see your room before you book.

A Solstice Series Classic, Revolutionized

Celebrity Equinox entered service in July 2009 as the second of Celebrity’s five Solstice Series ships, after Celebrity Solstice. The class debuted many Celebrity favorites, including the Lawn Club with real grass, Hollywood Hot Glass and the glass-roofed Solarium. In 2019 Equinox was revolutionized with The Retreat Sundeck and Retreat Lounge, Craft Social, Slush and refreshed staterooms. Today she offers four specialty restaurants, plus Blu for AquaClass guests and Luminae for The Retreat.

Danny has sailed Equinox for years and says she still delivers a world-class experience. In this 2025 tour he walks you from the pool deck and the Lawn Club through the spa, Camp at Sea, the bars and restaurants, all the way down to the grand staircase and the Main Restaurant. Celebrity Equinox Highlights

Pool Deck & Solarium on Celebrity Equinox

Pool Deck & Solarium

The main pool deck has two pools and four hot tubs, with loungers facing the water, the shade and the sea. A dance floor hosts sail-away bands, silent discos and dance parties, and the Mast Grill serves burgers, hot dogs and fries. Under its glass roof, the Solarium has a pool big enough for laps, two hot tubs and a water feature. The Spa Café there serves light, spa-style bites and a juice bar.

Danny's tip: “I love that the Solarium pool is big enough to swim laps, and it has a gradual entry, so you can sit on the edge and dip your toes in to cool off.”

Lawn Club & Sunset Bar

The Lawn Club is covered in real grass, a Solstice Series first that guests loved so much Celebrity kept it on every sister. It hosts movies, shows and lawn games, and cabanas can be rented for a picnic or a quiet day. Hollywood Hot Glass gives glassblowing demonstrations in the middle. Aft, the Sunset Bar has newly expanded seating with rockers, loungers and tables, and the Whiskey House at the Lawn Club offers tastings.

Danny's tip: “The aft of the ship is always my favorite spot. I love that wake view as you sail away from the most incredible destinations around the world.”

The Retreat on Celebrity Equinox

The Retreat

The Retreat is Celebrity's suite-only experience, added to Equinox in 2019. The Retreat Sundeck, up top and forward, has loungers in sun and shade, daybeds and drink service. The Retreat Lounge has a concierge at the entrance, a bar, continental breakfast, light bites through the day and appetizers in the evening. Luminae serves breakfast, lunch and dinner for suite guests, with Retreat hosts and butlers looking after everything.

Danny's tip: “I love that Luminae is attached to the main dining room, so you can order off of both menus.”

Oceanview Café

The Oceanview Café is the casual buffet, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has made-to-order pizza (served later into the evening), a pasta bar, a carving station, an Indian station, sandwiches and a big dessert spread. Breakfast brings a made-to-order egg station, French toast, pancakes and bacon. A dedicated corner has no-sugar-added desserts and gluten-free options. A second coffee bar and complimentary drink stations sit close by.

Danny's tip: “When I eat at the Oceanview Café, I always take my food all the way aft and sit against the windows. And I'll visit the soft-serve machine a few hundred times on a cruise.”

Sky Observation Lounge on Celebrity Equinox

Sky Observation Lounge

All the way forward, the Sky Observation Lounge is a classic panoramic lounge with 270-degree views and floor-to-ceiling windows. During the day it's a calm spot for reading and scenic cruising, with plenty of natural light. In the evening it turns into a nightclub, with a full dance floor, a bandstand, booths and tables facing the sea. It's a great place to gather with friends and family.

Danny's tip: “One of my favorite activities up here is live band karaoke in the evening. My wife likes to come up during the day for the natural light.”

The Spa & Thermal Suite

The spa covers massages, facials, wraps, a full Medi-Spa, a salon and a barber shop. The relaxation room has forward-facing sea views. The thermal suite has heated, ergonomic stone loungers, a steam room, a sauna and experience showers. It's an extra cost unless you've booked AquaClass, which also includes Blu. Next door, the fitness center has cardio machines along the windows, Peloton bikes, free weights and an aerobics studio.

Danny's tip: “After a long travel day, a hot stone or bamboo massage is perfect for me. The heated loungers in the thermal suite are great if you have a bad back like me.”

Specialty Dining on Celebrity Equinox

Specialty Dining

Equinox has four specialty restaurants, each an extra cost. Sushi on Five has a full sushi bar and other Japanese dishes. Murano is elegant French fine dining with tableside touches, plus a Chef's Table experience from Daniel Boulud. Tuscan Grille, all the way aft, combines an Italian kitchen and a steakhouse, with wraparound windows and an entrance that feels like a giant wine barrel. Le Petit Chef rounds out the list.

Danny's tip: “Sushi on Five is my favorite specialty restaurant on board. I come by just about every day for rolls before dinner. At Tuscan Grille, I love the ribeye.”

Craft Social & Martini Bar

Craft Social, added in 2019, is a pub with a long list of craft beers, whiskey tastings, cozy nooks and TVs for the game. Its upgraded pub-style food is an extra cost. The Martini Bar & Crush is the fan favorite, with flair bartenders and an ice-topped bar. Nearby, the World Class Bar mixes cocktails with smoke and flair, and the Ensemble Lounge has live music before and after dinner.

Danny's tip: “The pub food at Craft Social is some of my favorite on the ship. At the Martini Bar, put your drink right on the ice-topped bar. It keeps it cool, and you can draw designs in the ice.”

Signature Experiences on Equinox

Hollywood Hot Glass

Right in the middle of the Lawn Club, glassblowers give live demonstrations of their craft at sea. It's a Celebrity original, and you can even buy the pieces they make. Danny highly recommends checking it out.

The Tree of Life

A real, living tree grows midship under a glass skylight, so it gets natural sunlight. Danny calls it one of his favorite features on the ship, and an engineering feat that brightens the whole area.

▶ See it · 17:47

Le Petit Chef

Projectors in the ceiling turn each plate into a stage, and tiny animated chefs from different cultures tell a story while you dine. A playful specialty dining experience (extra cost) for the whole family.
