Celebrity Solstice

The ship that launched the Solstice Class is new again after her 2026 renewal, with Sunset Park, Trattoria Rossa, Fine Cut Steakhouse, the Boulevard Lounge and The Parlor joining the Solarium and Martini Bar guests already love. We’ve walked the decks and filmed the rooms, so you can see your room before you book.

The Original Solstice, Renewed for 2026

Celebrity Solstice entered service in November 2008 as the lead ship of the five-ship Solstice Class. In 2026 she became the first of Celebrity’s classic ships to be renewed, a project Danny says topped a hundred million dollars. The top deck is now Sunset Park, with an expanded Sunset Bar, new cabanas and the Sunset Park Cafe. Trattoria Rossa, Fine Cut Steakhouse, the Boulevard Lounge and The Parlor are all new, and The Retreat has a new sundeck and a redesigned lounge.

Danny calls her better than new, and he likes that Celebrity kept the favorites, from the Solarium and the Sky Observation Lounge to the ice-topped Martini Bar and the Tree of Life above the atrium. In this 2026 tour he starts on the pool deck and Sunset Park, then works through the spa, the restaurants, bars and lounges, all the way down to the main dining room. Celebrity Solstice Highlights

Sunset Park & Sunset Bar on Celebrity Solstice

Sunset Park & Sunset Bar

The 2026 renewal reworked the top of the ship. The Sunset Bar now wraps around the sides, with new loungers, banquettes and tables for two and four facing the wake. Forward of it, the redesigned Sunset Park has artificial turf, big umbrellas and a large LED screen for movies and sports. The new Sunset Park Cafe serves grab-and-go breakfast and lunch, and the upgraded cabanas have a TV, a heater and in-cabana dining.

Danny's tip: “The Sunset Bar has always been one of my favorite features of the Solstice, and it's better than ever. When you're sailing away or watching the sunset, there's no better place to be.”

The Retreat

The Retreat is Celebrity's suite-only experience, and Solstice got a new Retreat Sundeck and a redesigned Retreat Lounge in 2026. The sundeck has a bar, food, a hot tub, padded loungers in sun and shade, sofas and daybeds. The lounge is open around the clock, with a Retreat concierge, a full bar, light bites, evening hors d'oeuvres and an espresso machine. Luminae serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, including dishes from Chef Daniel Boulud.

Danny's tip: “I love Luminae on the Solstice Class because it's connected right to the main dining room, so I can order off both menus.”

Solarium & Spa Café on Celebrity Solstice

Solarium & Spa Café

The adults-only Solarium is a fan favorite, with tall sweeping ceilings and windows that run down almost three stories. Its pool is designed so guests can sit on the edge and dip their toes in or swim laps, and there are hot tubs on either side. The renewal brought new padded loungers, some facing the pool and others facing the sea. In the corner, the Spa Café serves lighter breakfast and lunch bites and a full juice bar.

Danny's tip: “I like to swim laps here in the morning or the evening. Reading a book or taking a dad nap in here is my favorite thing to do.”

Oceanview Café

The Oceanview Café is the complimentary buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Stations rotate through made-to-order sandwiches, soups, a cheese spread for building a charcuterie board, pizza, a pasta station, carved meats, Mexican and international specials and a grill. Breakfast adds made-to-order eggs, pancakes, waffles and bacon. A second coffee bar at the entrance turns into a full bar later in the day, and the Oceanview Bar serves the aft terrace.

Danny's tip: “I love the aft of any ship, and the extended terrace out back is the perfect spot for every sail away. With the wake in the distance, I don't think it gets much better.”

Sky Observation Lounge on Celebrity Solstice

Sky Observation Lounge

All the way forward, the Sky Observation Lounge has floor-to-ceiling windows about a story and a half tall that wrap around the room. Danny calls it one of the better observation lounges at sea, and it's the place to be for scenic cruising. During the day it's bright and calm. At night it becomes the late-night party spot, with a wraparound bar, a dance floor, different musical acts every night and live band karaoke.

Danny's tip: “One of my favorite events up here is the live band karaoke. My wife likes to come up during the day and do a bit of sewing in all that natural light.”

The Spa & Persian Garden

The Spa offers massages, facials and wraps, plus a full-service salon and barber shop. Treatments start in the relaxation room, with infused waters and teas. The Persian Garden thermal suite has heated stone loungers with views out the side, an herbal steam room, an aromatic room that works as a sauna, and experience showers. It's included for AquaClass guests, and everyone else can buy access on board. The fitness center has ocean-view cardio machines and classes.

Danny's tip: “My favorite treatment is the hot stone massage with a little aromatherapy, especially after a long flight. The heated loungers in the Persian Garden really help my back.”

Sushi on Five & Murano on Celebrity Solstice

Sushi on Five & Murano

Sushi on Five pairs a sushi bar with booths along the windows and a menu of Japanese dishes, ramen, rolls, sashimi and nigiri, plus Japanese beers. Murano serves traditional, elevated French cuisine, with Dover sole deboned tableside and a lobster flambéed in front of guests. Next door, the Chef's Table offers a wine-paired, multi-course dinner featuring dishes from Chef Daniel Boulud for only about eight guests. All three are specialty experiences with an extra cost.

Danny's tip: “If you're looking for me in the evening, you'll probably find me at Sushi on Five. At Murano, I think the Chateaubriand is one to write home about.”

Ensemble Lounge & Martini Bar

Solstice has plenty of places to gather in the evening. The Ensemble Lounge, just outside Murano, has live musicians every night and seating along the windows, and it's a quiet spot to read during the day. Solstice is home to Celebrity's original ice-topped Martini Bar, with flair bartending from late afternoon into the early morning. Nearby, Cellar Masters is a cozy wine bar with tastings, comfortable nooks and sommeliers to suggest a pour.

Danny's tip: “The Ensemble Lounge is my personal favorite spot in the evening, and it's a great place for a drink before dinner at Murano.”

Trattoria Rossa

A brand-new Italian specialty restaurant with handmade pastas, pizzas, burrata and Italian-inspired cocktails made tableside. Danny says the extensive dinner menu can deliver one of the best Italian meals you've ever had, with a lighter lunch menu on sea days.

Fine Cut Steakhouse

Celebrity's popular steakhouse arrives on Solstice, with dry-aged steaks, fresh seafood and views out the back of the ship. Danny usually orders the ribeye, but he ordered the picanha three or four times.

▶ See it · 21:24

Boulevard Lounge & The Parlor

A once-underused space is now the ship's social hub. The Boulevard Lounge hosts dueling pianos, trivia and game shows, while The Parlor is a game bar and sports bar with shuffleboard, pool, Skee-Ball and board games.
