MSC World America

MSC’s first World Class ship to sail from the U.S. calls Miami home, with seven districts, the Cliffhanger swing out over the ocean, the only Eataly at sea and the largest MSC Yacht Club. We’ve walked the decks and filmed the rooms, so you can see your room before you book.

The Biggest Ship Ever Built by a European Line

MSC World America was delivered in March 2025 as the second World Class ship, after MSC World Europa, and the first of the class to sail from the United States. Danny calls her one of the biggest ships ever built. She’s organized into seven districts: Family Aventura, the Aqua Deck, the World Promenade, the World Galleria, the Terraces, the adults-only Zen Area and the MSC Yacht Club, the largest in the MSC fleet.

In this overview, Danny starts up top with the pools, the Aquapark, Cliffhanger and Jaw Drop @ The Spiral, then steps into the Yacht Club and works through the included and specialty dining, the bars, the shows, the kids’ clubs and the spa. MSC World America Highlights

Aqua Deck & Botanic Garden on MSC World America

Aqua Deck & Botanic Garden

The Aqua Deck is the ship's pool district. The main pool sits in front of a big stage with live entertainment and deck parties, and loungers spread out in both sun and shade. Just forward, the Botanic Garden is a solarium-style pool under cover, so it works whatever the weather, with hot tubs and ping pong tables. Several outdoor bars serve the deck, and a gelato counter nearby gets a lot of love from Danny.

Danny's tip: “Don't skip the gelato up on the pool deck. MSC gets gelato incredibly right, and you'll see that's a theme all over this ship.”

Top 20 & the Zen Area

Guests in an Aurea suite, or who upgrade to the MSC Aurea package, get Top 20, a private sun deck with its own bar and a few cabanas, so there's always a spot to relax. All the way aft, the Zen Area is the adults-only district, with the Zen pool, loungers and the Zen Bar looking out over the ocean. It's a quiet escape while the kids are busy at Doremiland or the Aquapark.

Danny's tip: “I love my kids, but they love the kids club. So my wife and I head to the Zen pool to sit back, relax and enjoy the chill while they party on.”

Family Aventura on MSC World America

Family Aventura

Family Aventura is the multi-level district at the top of the ship. The Aquapark has water slides and a splash pad for little ones. Cliffhanger swings riders out over the side of the ship (extra cost), and the ropes course suits kids around 5 to 12. Jaw Drop @ The Spiral is a dry slide that drops down through the decks. The Sportplex hosts basketball, dodgeball and roller skating, with a LEGO area just above and a small bar outside.

Danny's tip: “Cliffhanger was the thing I was looking forward to most. My daughter and I loved it and went back several times. On Jaw Drop, take the elevator back up and ride it again and again.”

MSC Yacht Club

The MSC Yacht Club is a keycard-access ship within a ship, and on World America it's the largest in the MSC fleet. Every suite has a butler, backed by a concierge team that books shows and dining. Up top is a private sun deck and pool, with the Yacht Club Grill & Bar just below. The Top Sail Lounge has live music each evening and a Swarovski crystal staircase up to the Yacht Club Restaurant, included for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Danny's tip: “If you book one of the top suites, you get a complimentary cabana for the whole cruise, and your butler sets it up for you every day.”

Included Dining on MSC World America

Included Dining

A wide range of food is included in the fare. There are two buffets on two levels, La Brasserie above Il Mercato, with indoor and outdoor seating. La Boca Grill serves poolside burgers, hot dogs and pizza, and The Harbour Bar & Bites has grab-and-go favorites like corn dogs and empanadas. Pizza & Burger at Luna Park covers burgers, pizza and wings, and Promenade Bites in the aft serves popcorn, sliders and cotton candy.

Danny's tip: “Luna Park Pizza & Burger is one of my favorite spots on the ship. I wish every cruise ship had one. With kids, being able to grab food and head out is a huge benefit.”

Specialty Dining

World America's specialty restaurants cost extra. Eataly brings authentic Italian dining on board, the only one at sea. Paxos is a Greek taverna on the Promenade with indoor and outdoor seating, plus Paxos On The Go. HOLA! Tacos & Cantina pours margaritas, Butcher's Cut is the steakhouse, and Kaito offers teppanyaki and a sushi bar. Jean-Philippe Chocolat & Café does chocolate, crêpes and gelato, and the All-Stars Sports Bar serves gourmet burgers.

Danny's tip: “I hate to say it, but Jean-Philippe Chocolat & Café is the best dining on the entire ship. The gelato is unbelievable. It does cost extra, and it's completely worth it.”

Bars, Shows & Nightlife on MSC World America

Bars, Shows & Nightlife

There are more than 20 bars and lounges. Masters of the Sea has live music, with The Gin Project above it, Elixir does smoking and color-changing cocktails, and Dolce Vita has a live pianist. Two main theaters stage the shows, headlined by Dirty Dancing in Concert, with Queen Symphonic in the aft theater. The Loft runs adults-only comedy, and Luna Park turns into a party venue late at night.

Danny's tip: “If you know me, you know I'm pretty happy at the Gin Project. And at Dirty Dancing in Concert, my wife and I might have even tried the lift a few times.”
