Norwegian Luna

Norwegian’s second Prima Plus ship pairs guest favorites like the Aqua Slidecoaster and Indulge Food Hall with new ideas, including the Moon Climber, the Luna Midway and a bigger pool deck. We’ve walked the decks and filmed the rooms, so you can see your room before you book.

The Second Prima Plus Ship, Made for the Caribbean

Norwegian Luna joined the fleet in March 2026 as the second and final ship of the Prima Plus Class. She is a twin sister to Norwegian Aqua and about 10 percent larger than Norwegian Prima and Viva. She keeps the favorites, including the Aqua Slidecoaster, Indulge Food Hall, Ocean Boulevard and The Haven. She also debuts the Moon Climber, the Luna Midway and LunaTique Pop Circus, plus an expanded main pool deck.

Danny grew up on cruise ships and first went to Norwegian’s Splash Academy more than 35 years ago. He filmed this tour on Luna’s first Caribbean sailing, walking you from the top-deck games all the way down to the atrium. Norwegian Luna Highlights

Pool Deck & Aqua Slidecoaster on Norwegian Luna

Pool Deck & Aqua Slidecoaster

Luna’s main pool deck is bigger than on Prima and Viva, with a large LED screen for parties and movies, a shallow entrance around the pool, and hot tubs on either side with infinity views. Waves Bar keeps the drinks coming. Above it all runs the Aqua Slidecoaster, a solo raft ride that is part rollercoaster, part water slide, and it’s included. A full-body dryer waits at the exit, and Haven guests get a special entry.

Danny's tip: “I love to race my kids down the Aqua Slidecoaster, and I always get down first. When you climb out, hop in the dryer next to it and it dries you right off.”

Glow Court & Top-Deck Games

The top decks hold more to do than any Norwegian ship before. The Glow Court has an interactive LED floor, so a tap of the screen turns it into soccer, basketball and more. Tee Time is an interactive mini golf course where the ball knows who you are and counts your strokes. There are also ping pong, foosball, two kinds of shuffleboard, the Bullseye Bar with darts, and The Drop, a slide where the floor falls away beneath you.

Danny's tip: “The Drop is one of my favorite rides on Luna. It's a little scary when the floor drops out from underneath you.”

The Haven on Norwegian Luna

The Haven

The Haven is Norwegian’s ship-within-a-ship for suite guests. A concierge handles reservations and shore excursions and works with your butler. The Haven Lounge and Bar is a quiet gathering spot that Danny calls Cheers at sea. The Haven Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, inside or alfresco. Outside, the sundeck has an infinity pool facing the wake, a sauna and snow grotto, a second bar and an adults-only upper deck with hot tubs.

Danny's tip: “My favorite feature on this ship is the Haven elevator bank. Haven guests tap their card on the decks below, and it brings you right up to your suite or the Haven.”

Mandara Spa & Thermal Suite

The Mandara Spa has a gents’ barbershop, a full salon, a med-spa with acupuncture, and treatment rooms for massages, facials and wraps. Danny calls the Thermal Suite the best in the industry. It has a large hydrotherapy pool, an aromatherapy steam room, charcoal, Finnish and clay saunas, a salt room, experience showers and an ice grotto. Heated loungers line the relaxation room across the front of the ship. Thermal Suite access is a separate pass.

Danny's tip: “I always stop by the spa on boarding day and grab a Thermal Suite pass if I can. My favorite treatment is the hot stone massage with a little aromatherapy.”

Indulge Food Hall on Norwegian Luna

Indulge Food Hall

Indulge Food Hall is a complimentary food hall all the way aft, with individual stations and an iPad at every table. Tap your order and the food usually arrives within two to three minutes. Stations include Tamara for Indian food, Q Texas Smokehouse, Seaside Rotisserie, Tapas, Planterie for plant-based dishes, noodles and Just Desserts. Menus change between lunch and dinner, and there is seating inside and out, plus the Luna Bar.

Danny's tip: “My favorite station is Tamara, the Indian spot. It has a real tandoor, something you don't find on any other class of ship, and the garlic naan is delicious.”

Soleil Bar & Infinity Beach

All the way aft, the Soleil Bar has sofas, daybeds and tables that all face the wake, and the Luna statue nearby is even prettier at night. Along Deck 8, Infinity Beach has loungers in sun and shade, a shallow pool with water around the daybeds, and infinity pools that look right off the side of the ship. Ocean Boulevard wraps the deck, with the glass-floored Ocean Walk, La Terraza and outdoor seating for The Local.

Danny's tip: “The aft of the ship is my favorite spot. There's nothing better than watching the wake as you sail away, so you'll find me at the Soleil Bar quite often.”

Luna Theater & Club on Norwegian Luna

Luna Theater & Club

Danny says there’s no better place to watch a show in the cruise industry. The Luna Theater & Club is wrapped in LED lights and a huge LED screen. Shows include ELTON: A Celebration of Elton John, the high-energy acrobatic show Hiko, and an Eagles tribute. After the last show, the seats push back and the room becomes a nightclub. Syd Norman’s Pour House adds live rock every night, and The Improv hosts comedy.

Danny's tip: “ELTON, the tribute to Elton John, was one of the best shows I've seen at sea in a very long time. The voices and staging were incredible.”

Palomar & Specialty Dining

Palomar is a seafood-forward Mediterranean restaurant with an open kitchen and floor-to-ceiling windows, and Danny has had some of his best meals at sea here. Luna’s other specialty choices include Sukhothai for Thai, Onda by Scarpetta for handmade pasta, Cagney’s Steakhouse, Le Bistro, Nama sushi, Los Lobos and Hasuki, the largest teppanyaki at sea with 20 tables. Complimentary options include Hudson’s, the Commodore Room, Surfside and The Local, which serves late into the night.

Danny's tip: “My all-time favorite at Palomar is the fish baked in a block of salt for two. They debone it right in front of you.”

New, and Only on Luna

Moon Climber

A three-plus-story climbing course high on the top deck, with ramps, slides and interactive games to play against family and friends. It's complimentary, and Danny admits it may be hard to keep him off it.

▶ See it · 4:23

Luna Midway

An open-air, Coney Island-style carnival on the top deck, with basketball shots, throwing games and a bowling-style game. It's a fun place for kids, and for the grown-ups who act like them.

▶ See it · 5:11

LunaTique Pop Circus

A brand-new, adults-only show in The Improv, with singers, dancers and circus acts in a cocktail-club setting. It costs extra, and Danny says it's fantastic if that's your thing.
