Oceania Nautica

Oceania Nautica pairs the finest cuisine at sea with a small-ship feel, included specialty dining, a classic library and a signature double staircase, on itineraries that reach as far as French Polynesia. We’ve walked the decks and filmed the rooms, so you can see your room before you book.

A Classic Small Ship, Made for Food Lovers

Oceania Nautica is one of the line’s four Regatta-class ships, sailing for Oceania since 2005 with about 684 guests. Her size lets her slip into smaller ports, and she sails longer voyages around the world. Polo Grill and Toscana are included in the fare, alongside the Terrace Café, Waves Grill and the Grand Dining Room. Specialty coffees, juices, smoothies, milkshakes and gelato are part of the experience too.

Danny says Oceania sets itself apart by getting the small details right and taking great care of its guests, which keeps them coming back time and time again. He filmed Nautica from the pool deck and putting green to Horizons, the library, the spa, the Nautica Lounge and the grand staircase. Oceania Nautica Highlights

Pool Deck & Waves Grill on Oceania Nautica

Pool Deck & Waves Grill

Nautica's main pool has two hot tubs and a ledge that wraps around the water, so guests can sit and dip their toes in to cool off. Tables, chairs and loungers sit in sun or shade, with drink service from the pool bar. Next door, Waves Grill takes the pool grill to another level, with a surf and turf Wagyu burger, a fish burger, Reubens, a salad bar and a barbecue station. Order, grab a seat and they bring it to you.

Danny's tip: “The surf and turf Wagyu burger is one of my all-time favorites, and the Reuben is another. All you have to do is order, grab a seat and they'll deliver it to you.”

Terrace Café

The Terrace Café is Nautica's main casual restaurant, buffet style for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with made-to-order options too. A small coffee shop and bar sit at the entrance, followed by a pizza spot, a salad bar, made-to-order pasta, a fresh bakery, charcuterie, a falafel bar, desserts, and ice cream and gelato made fresh on board. Out back, the aft terrace has tables for two, four and more, with umbrellas and covered seating.

Danny's tip: “My favorite place to dine on the ship is the aft terrace. You'll often find me there for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a drink, enjoying those spectacular views.”

Sun Deck & Putting Green on Oceania Nautica

Sun Deck & Putting Green

Above the pool, Nautica keeps plenty of outdoor space for sea days. On the starboard side there are two cornhole setups for a friendly tournament, and all the way forward at the top of the ship a sun deck fills with loungers when the weather is warm. A golf putting green wraps all the way around the deck, so golfers can keep their stroke sharp on the way to some of the world's best golf destinations.

Danny's tip: “This ship visits some of the most exquisite golf destinations in the world, and I love that you can do a little practicing on the putting green while you're on the way.”

Horizons

Perched all the way forward at the top of the ship like a crown, Horizons is a classic observation lounge, with floor-to-ceiling windows wrapping around 270 degrees. It is the place to be when Nautica cruises the most scenic parts of the world. A bar anchors the middle, a small food line puts out snacks, and a live band plays for dancing before or after dinner. By day it is a quiet spot to read a book.

Danny's tip: “They do high tea in here, and it's one of my favorite events. I used to do that all the time with my grandma on board, and our guests absolutely love it too.”

Polo Grill on Oceania Nautica

Polo Grill

Polo Grill is Nautica's steakhouse, and Danny says there isn't a more delicious steakhouse at sea. The menu is expansive, with a large assortment of appetizers, soups and salads, a wide variety of steaks, and seafood from shrimp cocktail to fish entrées. Like all of Oceania's specialty restaurants, it is included in the fare, with reservations based on category and voyage length. On longer cruises, guests get to come back several times.

Danny's tip: “To me it's all about the steaks. That big, juicy ribeye is my personal favorite, and what's great about a longer cruise with Oceania is you get to come back several times.”

Toscana

Toscana is Nautica's Italian restaurant, with an expansive menu made from scratch, from steaks and seafood to risotto, pastas and a Caprese salad to start. Seating wraps around the room, with window tables for two and larger tables for four up to ten, so groups can dine together. It is included in the fare like Polo Grill. Guests in the top suites get priority access, and everyone else can return based on availability.

Danny's tip: “For me it's all about the risotto and the pastas, with a Caprese salad to start. All of those wonderful things you love in Italy, they've got right here on board.”

Library & Card Room on Oceania Nautica

Library & Card Room

Oceania is known for its libraries, and Nautica's has a massive curated collection plus a book exchange, with shelves wrapping around the room and large comfortable chairs, a sofa and loungers for a sea day. Nearby, the card room stays busy on longer cruises with bridge, mahjong, a closet full of board games and a communal puzzle or two. An internet café next door helps guests with the included Starlink logins and has a printer.

Danny's tip: “Some of my favorite books I've found on cruise ships, books I maybe wouldn't have picked up at a bookstore at home.”

Grand Dining Room & Grand Staircase

All the way aft, the Grand Dining Room is Nautica's main restaurant, complimentary for all guests, with dinner every night and breakfast and lunch most days. Windows wrap around for 270-degree views, with tables for two, four or up to ten. Just outside, the double staircase is a signature of this class of ship and a favorite photo spot. It leads down to reception, the concierge desk and destination services.

Danny's tip: “One of my favorite things in here is when they do special events like brunch. They set it all up here, and it's absolutely delicious.”
