Built for the Poles, with Space to Spare
Silver Endeavour was completed in 2021 as Crystal Endeavor and joined Silversea in 2022, christened in Antarctica that November. She was designed from the start for polar waters, with a PC6 ice-class rating and a high bow that handles rough seas well. With roughly one crew member per guest and an unusual amount of public space for her size, Danny calls her unlike anything else in the industry, from the wraparound viewing decks to the glass-enclosed pool.
Harr Travel filmed this tour in late 2021, when she still sailed as Crystal Endeavor. Silversea has since renamed the venues and removed a few features, including the helicopter hangar and the casino, so the chapters below use today’s names. Danny walks you from the Sun Deck and the Observation Lounge to the Otium Spa, the pool deck, The Restaurant and the mud rooms. Silver Endeavour Highlights

Sun Deck
Deck 10 is a wraparound viewing platform, with a dedicated jogging track circling the top of the ship. Wind breaks with gaps let a breeze through while blocking the bigger gusts, outdoor speakers carry narration from the expedition team, and heaters keep the shaded lounge comfortable in polar waters. In warmer regions the loungers come out, along with a rain shower Danny calls the car wash. Looking forward from up here, guests get nearly the same view as the bridge.
Zodiac Expeditions
Silver Endeavour was built for both poles, and her PC6 ice-class rating is among the highest in the industry. Zodiacs in two sizes carry guests out for landings and scenic cruising, and Silversea points to one of the best Zodiac-to-guest and expert-to-guest ratios at sea. Landings aren't just static stops: if guests want to hike, they can hike, and the expedition team goes looking for wildlife. Briefings and lectures explain what everyone will see before they step ashore.

Observation Lounge & Library
At the top front of the ship, the Observation Lounge (the Palm Court when Harr filmed) has floor-to-ceiling windows, a large skylight, a dance floor, a piano and a full bar. It's the natural spot for scenic cruising, and large screens carry lectures and live narration. Nearby, the library holds well over a thousand books, plus board games, comfortable chairs and a self-serve coffee pantry. Just in front of the lounge, an open deck sits right on top of the bridge.
Otium Spa
The spa, now part of Silversea's Otium wellness concept, has treatment rooms for massages, facials and medi-spa treatments, plus a full beauty salon for hair, manicures and pedicures. The changing rooms include a complimentary steam room and sauna. The relaxation lounge has heated, reclining loungers with reading lamps, views out the side and a look back toward the pool. Across the hall, the fitness center has cardio machines, free weights, TRX and a studio for classes.

Pool Deck & The Grill
All the way aft on Deck 5, the glass-enclosed pool deck feels like a solarium. The heated pool sits in the middle, the roof opens for fresh air, and the space is climate controlled, so it stays warm in Antarctica and cool in the tropics. Tables wrap around two levels, and The Grill serves salads, grilled seafood and steaks with glacier views. A hot tub is tucked in the corner, and an open deck just behind is a sheltered spot for photos.
Explorer Lounge
The Explorer Lounge (the Cove when Harr filmed) is where learning and entertainment come together. Big LED screens behind the stage show images from cameras around the ship, and the expedition team holds its daily briefings and presentations here. There's a piano, a dance floor, a full bar, and couches and chairs in groupings large and small. After dinner it shifts into an evening entertainment space with live music, and it's a relaxed place to gather before or after a meal.

The Restaurant
The Restaurant (Waterside when Harr filmed) is the main dining room, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with windows on both sides. Silversea describes each day here as a new culinary journey, blending familiar favorites with dishes inspired by the destination. Seating ranges from tables for two to larger tables for groups, plus booths, and a sommelier helps with wine. For something different, La Dame serves French tasting menus and Il Terrazzino serves classic Italian.
Mud Rooms & Marina
Two mud rooms on Deck 3 are where every expedition begins. Each guest has a personal locker for a life vest and boots, the boots dry on heated racks, and benches and hooks make gearing up easy. From there, a short flight of stairs leads down to the marina, where large shell doors open and the team helps guests in and out of the Zodiacs. Silversea calls the mud rooms spacious and modern, with state-of-the-art equipment.

Signature Spaces on Endeavour
The Bow
On Deck 6 at the very front of the ship, The Bow has loungers on each side and a whirlpool facing forward. Steps lead up to the tip of the bow, where the view rivals the one from the bridge.

A cigar lounge set up like a home library, with a humidor, fine cognacs and whiskies, comfortable couches and a faux fireplace. It's a quiet hideaway between the Explorer Lounge and the restaurants.
