Silver Nova

Silversea’s first Nova Class ship breaks the mold with an asymmetrical design, the largest pool deck in the fleet, the S.A.L.T. culinary program and butler service in every suite. We’ve walked the decks and filmed the rooms, so you can see your room before you book.

A Revolutionary Design with Classic Silversea Service

Silver Nova set sail in August 2023 as the first ship in Silversea’s Nova Class, and Danny calls her truly revolutionary, more than just an evolution. Her asymmetrical design opens up the public spaces, with an offset pool, an offset theater and walls of glass almost everywhere you look. She carries just 728 guests in 364 suites, each with a private veranda, so even on a full sailing she often feels wonderfully uncrowded.

Danny says the service is what Silversea is all about, and guests come back specifically for the crew. He walks you from the pool deck and the S.A.L.T. Lab up top, past the Otium Spa and the Venetian Lounge, all the way down to La Dame, Atlantide and S.A.L.T. Kitchen. Watch the full tour below, or jump straight to the part of the ship you care about most.

Silver Nova Highlights

Pool Deck on Silver Nova

Pool Deck

Silver Nova’s pool is set off to one side, which opens up the whole deck without the usual posts and pillars. A shallow ledge on either side lets you dip your toes, the middle is big enough to swim laps, and gentle walk-in stairs make it easy for almost everyone. A hot tub above looks out over the side of the ship. The pool bar sits down a level, ringed by cabanas, day beds and loungers that all face the view.

Danny's tip: “The pool is big enough to swim laps, and I find it's perfect in the morning or in the evening. At sail away, this is the spot for a cocktail and a little dancing.”

S.A.L.T. Lab & S.A.L.T. Bar

S.A.L.T. stands for Sea And Land Taste, Silversea’s program built around the food and drink of the places you visit. At the S.A.L.T. Bar, skilled mixologists make complimentary regionally inspired cocktails and will show you how they do it. Next door, the S.A.L.T. Lab is a full culinary arts kitchen with demonstration stations on both sides, overhead cameras and big screens, plus tables outside so you can enjoy your creations in the open air.

Danny's tip: “For me, there's no better way to learn about a culture than through its food, and there's no better place to do that at sea than right here in the S.A.L.T. Lab.”

Observation Lounge & Library on Silver Nova

Observation Lounge & Library

All the way forward, the Observation Lounge wraps around with floor-to-ceiling windows and roughly 270 degrees of views. It hosts enrichment and art sessions, and a screen in the middle lets you play citizen scientist and log the whales you spot. There’s a card room, plus coffee and tea service. Tucked away nearby is the library, set up a bit like a speakeasy, with art on the ceiling and a curated collection about the destinations you visit.

Danny's tip: “A lot of people miss the library, but it's one of my favorite spots on the ship. Some of my favorite books I've ever read, I found on board a cruise ship.”

The Marquee

The Marquee brings The Grill and Spaccanapoli together in one open-air space, a concept found only on Silver Nova and Silver Ray. Danny calls it the pool grill elevated, with fresh salads, the burgers he loves and hand-tossed Neapolitan pizza from late morning into early evening. At night it transforms with centerpieces and Silversea’s signature hot rock dining, where you cook your own meal at the table. The ocean breeze flows right through, and it’s included in your fare.

Danny's tip: “To me, there's nothing better than dining al fresco, especially with that hot rock dining experience. It quickly became one of my favorite spots on the ship.”

The Dusk Bar on Silver Nova

The Dusk Bar

The Dusk Bar is an open-air bar at the aft of the ship, built for sunsets. Complimentary cocktails are served across the whole deck, with seating nooks for two, larger sofas and love seats, some under cover and some out in the sun. Heaters overhead keep it comfortable on cooler evenings, as they do in most of the outdoor spaces on board. It’s the natural place to unwind after a shore excursion and before dinner.

Danny's tip: “Those of you who know me know the aft of the ship is my favorite spot. After an excursion, I come back here with a gin and tonic and watch the sunset as we sail away.”

Otium Spa

Otium is Silversea’s wellness concept, found in the suites, some of the restaurants and here in the spa. There’s a full beauty salon, pedicure and manicure stations with sea views, massages, facials, wraps, medi-spa treatments and acupuncture. The changing rooms are open to all guests, with a steam room, a Finnish sauna and a snow maker for hot-and-cold circuits. A shared spa pool with a waterfall sits between them, and the fitness center and studio are next door.

Danny's tip: “I recommend you pre-book your treatments and stop by on the first day for a tour of the spa. Personally, I love the hot stone massage.”

Kaiseki on Silver Nova

Kaiseki

Kaiseki is Silver Nova’s Japanese restaurant, and Danny calls it his happy place. In the evening it puts on a show, with a menu he compares to the best sushi meal you’ve ever had. Dinner carries an extra charge, while the lunch menu of rolls and other dishes is complimentary. You can sit at the sushi bar and watch the masters work, or choose a table for two or four along the windows or a booth in the back.

Danny's tip: “Kaiseki is my happy place. Dinner does come at an additional cost, but I for one think it's completely worth it.”

La Dame

La Dame is the pinnacle dining experience on board, a French restaurant with a tasting menu that nods to the past while looking forward. Some of Silversea’s best chefs cook here, and the wines poured with the menu are found only in this restaurant, with even more upgraded options if you want to go further. It carries an extra charge. The room is intimate, with booths, tables for two and four, and window tables for sunset at dinner.

Danny's tip: “The space isn't that large, but it's very popular, so I recommend you book La Dame early.”

Signature Experiences on Nova

Silver Note

A true supper club at sea, included in your fare. Small plates come paired with wine, the piano sits at the center of the room, and a singer performs throughout the meal. Danny says don't miss it.

S.A.L.T. Kitchen

Destination immersion through food. The menu changes as the ship visits new ports, alongside a voyage menu that runs all cruise. It's one of the larger restaurants on board, with tables for two up to ten, and it's included.

▶ See it · 27:04

The Venetian Lounge

The main theater is offset to one side, which Danny says he hasn't seen anywhere else in the industry. An LED wall backs Broadway-style shows and guest entertainers, and expert lecturers teach about the places you visit.
