Resilient Lady

Virgin Voyages’ third Lady Ship is adults only, with more than 20 included eateries, no buffet, an ocean-view Thermal Suite and live music from The Dock to The Manor. We’ve walked the decks and filmed the rooms, so you can see your room before you book.

The Third Lady Ship, Made for Food and Music Lovers

Resilient Lady began sailing in May 2023 as the third of Virgin Voyages’ four Lady Ships, a sister to Scarlet, Valiant and Brilliant Lady. She is adults only (18+), and Virgin calls its guests Sailors. There’s no buffet and no main dining room. Instead, more than 20 eateries are included in the fare, from Gunbae’s Korean barbecue to the Test Kitchen, along with Wi-Fi, group fitness classes and the shows.

Danny filmed this tour in Athens during her first season, and he calls her a foodie’s paradise. He starts on the Sun Club pool deck and the Athletic Club, then works through Richard’s Rooftop, The Galley, Redemption Spa, The Roundabout, the Social Club and The Manor. A few spaces have changed since filming, and we’ve noted those below. Watch the full tour below, or jump straight to the part of the ship you care about most.

Resilient Lady Highlights

Sun Club & Main Pool on Resilient Lady

Sun Club & Main Pool

The Sun Club wraps around the main pool with daybeds in the sun and the shade, loungers, and red love seats that are first come, first served. The Sun Club Cafe serves poke bowls, bao buns and veggie dips, and the Sun Club Bar covers the whole deck. Binocular stations let Sailors watch the ports go by. After dark the pool becomes the party zone for Scarlet Night, with dancing all the way around.

Danny's tip: “If you've never taken part in Scarlet Night, you're absolutely going to love it. Make sure you bring some bright red when you cruise with Virgin.”

The Athletic Club & Training Camp

Virgin built Resilient Lady's top decks around well-being. There's an outdoor boxing ring, a Training Camp with kettlebells, rowing machines and TRX, and outdoor park-style equipment for sit-ups and push-ups. Group fitness classes are complimentary. Further aft are seesaws, swings, a sport court and reservable cabanas. The Athletic Club itself has a big wraparound bar, daybeds and the catamaran net, where Sailors lie high above the ocean.

Danny's tip: “I really appreciate the yoga mats and foam rollers. After a long flight over to Europe, it's really nice to roll out the body and get those muscles relaxed.”

Richard's Rooftop on Resilient Lady

Richard's Rooftop

Richard's Rooftop is the key-card-only deck for guests in RockStar and Mega RockStar Quarters, named for Virgin founder Sir Richard Branson. It's a large space, with daybeds, catamaran-style beds, a hot tub on each side and big lounge areas. All the way forward there's a bar with round seating and light bites. The views over the bow and the sides of the ship are some of the best on board.

Danny's tip: “It's just one of the great perks of upgrading to one of those top suites, having this exclusive space and the elevated service that goes along with it.”

The Galley

The Galley is Virgin's food hall, and everything is made to order and included. Counters include Well Bread for fresh pastries, the Burger Bar, the Diner for all-day breakfast, Bento Baby for sushi, a taco shop, Noodle Around for street-food noodles and Hot Off the Press for paninis. Sodas, drip coffee and tea are complimentary. Seating wraps all the way aft and out onto a terrace above the wake.

Danny's tip: “My favorite spot to eat is out on the aft terrace. I'll grab my food, head outside to my favorite table and take advantage of the beautiful wake views.”

Gunbae on Resilient Lady

Gunbae

Gunbae is Resilient Lady's Korean barbecue, with a grill set into each table so the group cooks together. Danny calls it truly unique in the industry. Virgin built these grills specially for the line, and the Lady Ships are the only major cruise ships with a separate galley for every restaurant. Like all the restaurants on board, Gunbae is included in the fare. Suite guests get first access to reservations.

Danny's tip: “The first time I tried it here, I was blown away. To me, Korean barbecue is just something that should be shared with friends.”

Redemption Spa & Thermal Suite

Danny calls Resilient Lady's Thermal Suite one of the best in the business. The circuit includes a thalassotherapy pool, hot and cold tubs, a cold plunge, a large ocean-view sauna, heated loungers, a mud room, a steam room and a salt room. It's included for Mega RockStar Quarters, and other Sailors can buy a day or voyage pass. Treatments, the Med Spa and The Tune Up for manicures and pedicures cost extra.

Danny's tip: “I recommend you stop by on boarding day and pre-book your treatments. Sea days always fill up quicker, and there are often great port day specials. Personally, I love the hot stone massage.”

Social Club, Loose Cannon & Arcade on Resilient Lady

Social Club, Loose Cannon & Arcade

The Social Club is a games room with classics like Operation, Mouse Trap and Dungeons & Dragons, and on Resilient Lady it was expanded for trivia, games and singalongs. The Social Club Diner serves chicken wings, hot dogs, soft pretzels and popcorn. It flows into the Loose Cannon, a bar with Krakens, booths and a jukebox. Next door, the Vintage Arcade has Daytona, Tetris, Donkey Kong and Ms. Pac-Man, all complimentary.

Danny's tip: “The Loose Cannon is my favorite bar on board. And in the arcade, there aren't even any kids to compete with, though I find the adults love it just as much.”

The Dock & The Wake

The Dock House is a beach club-style space with a stage for live music, a full bar and Mediterranean-style small plates. Outside, The Dock spreads across the aft with tables, daybeds and high-tops facing the wake. Just below, The Wake is the included steakhouse, with steaks, seafood towers and a seafood bar at dinner, plus brunch on select days. An aged tomahawk is available as an upgrade.

Danny's tip: “The Dock is my favorite spot on the ship. You all know I love the aft. And if you choose to upgrade at The Wake, the aged tomahawk is delicious, I can tell you that from experience.”

Virgin's theater in the round, with LED walls and seating that moves so the stage can change shape for each show. The productions were created just for Virgin, and longer voyages add guest entertainers.
