Azamara Quest

Azamara Quest is a small, highly inclusive ship built for longer stays in port, with the Living Room up top, the Sunset Bar out back and the famous White Night party on deck. We’ve walked the decks and filmed the rooms, so you can see your room before you book.

A Small Ship Made for Destination Immersion

Azamara Quest is one of the R-class ships, built in 2000 and sailing for Azamara since 2007. She carries only about 700 guests, and Azamara keeps her in port longer, with late nights and overnights. Beer, wine, select spirits, soft drinks, specialty coffees and gratuities are included in the fare. Quest is also the first ship in Azamara Forward: a dry dock in late 2026 refreshes the staterooms and suites, the spa and the Cabaret Lounge, and adds a new Penthouse Deck of suites.

Danny and his wife have spent a lot of time on Azamara, and Quest holds many of their favorite memories. Filmed in 2022, his tour runs from the pool deck and the Living Room up top all the way down to Discoveries Restaurant and the guest laundry. Azamara Quest Highlights

Pool Deck & White Night on Azamara Quest

Pool Deck & White Night

The pool deck has a pool in the middle, two hot tubs, soft padded loungers in sun and shade, quiet lounge nooks on either side and a pool bar. On sea days the crew sets up putting contests, cornhole and ping pong. Up on deck 10 is the walking and jogging track. This is also home to White Night, Azamara's famous party, with white tablecloths, a buffet served by the senior officers, a live band and dancing into the night.

Danny's tip: “My wife and I have played quite a bit of ping pong right here on the pool deck, and I've walked off quite a few meals on the jogging track up on deck 10.”

The Living Room

Up on deck 10 forward, the Living Room is meant to feel like an extension of your own living room at home, with 270-degree windows over the bow. There's a large bar with an espresso maker, overstuffed couches and cozy nooks for two or four. Trivia runs during the day, tapas are set out each evening, and a live band plays for dancing and karaoke at night. Next door are the card room, board games and In Touch computers.

Danny's tip: “My favorite nook is the booth seating tucked away in the corner. I love to sit there, read a book and take in the beautiful view.”

Prime C & Aqualina on Azamara Quest

Prime C & Aqualina

Quest's two specialty restaurants sit side by side at the aft of the ship. Prime C is a classic steakhouse with a full bar and a wine room that hosts tastings. Aqualina is Italian and seafood inspired, with a chef's special each day, and it also hosts the daily suite breakfast. Both wrap around the stern, with tables for two up to ten. Suite guests dine at both at no extra charge, and Veranda Plus guests get one night every seven days.

Danny's tip: “I always ask for a table by the window. Both restaurants wrap around the back of the ship, so you get incredible aft-facing views.”

Windows Café, Sunset Bar & The Patio

Windows Café is the casual buffet, with made-to-order eggs, a carving station, fresh breads and fruit, and themed meals like an Indian buffet or sushi. The gelato is complimentary, always with a lactose-free choice. Just outside, the Sunset Bar and terrace serve breakfast, lunch and dinner al fresco, often with a musician at sail-away. Next door, The Patio grills burgers, sausages and steaks, with soft-serve and homemade waffle cones.

Danny's tip: “The Sunset Bar terrace is my favorite spot on the entire ship. I love to dine al fresco out here, especially sailing away from a port like Monaco or Portofino with a guitarist playing.”

Sanctum Spa & Terrace on Azamara Quest

Sanctum Spa & Terrace

The Sanctum Spa offers massages, facials, acupuncture and Elemis products at duty-free prices, plus a salon and barber shop with chairs facing the sea. The locker rooms have large rainfall showers and complimentary steam rooms. From there, guests step out to the Sanctum Terrace, with loungers, a day bed cabana and a Thalassotherapy pool. Terrace access is included for suite guests, and others can buy a pass. The fitness center next door is complimentary.

Danny's tip: “Book your treatments as soon as you can, because they fill up quickly, and come up for the complimentary tour on boarding day. My personal favorite is the hot stone massage.”

Cabaret Lounge

The Cabaret Lounge is Quest's main showroom, with a dance floor up front, tiered lounge seating and high-top seats by the full bar. Azamara designs its own production shows for its singers and dancers, and the cruise directors often join in. Guest lecturers, singers and entertainers come aboard too, sometimes from the very places the ship is visiting. Before dinner, the band plays on the dance floor. The lounge is reimagined in the late 2026 dry dock.

Danny's tip: “Come in before dinner, when the musicians play on the dance floor. Grab a cocktail and have a wonderful night on board.”

The Den & Shore Excursions on Azamara Quest

The Den & Shore Excursions

The Den took over the space where the casino used to be. It holds the shore excursions desks and a reference library for planning, and port lectures run here too. Further along is the bar, with sofas, a piano and a faux fireplace, plus screens for the big game. Danny calls it the perfect place for a drink before a show or a quiet afternoon with a book. The future cruise and Azamara Circle loyalty desks are here as well.

Danny's tip: “Always book your shore excursions before you get on board, especially the small-group ones, because they can sell out.”

Discoveries Restaurant

Discoveries, at the aft of the ship, is the main dining room, with windows on three sides and casual open seating for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A chandelier hangs over the raised center section. Menus mix classics like escargot, French onion soup and steak with new dishes to try. The famous sea-day brunch is a highlight. In the late 2026 dry dock, Discoveries is redesigned and the Atlas Bar cocktail lounge moves in just outside.

Danny's tip: “I always request a seat by the window. My favorite thing to do here, besides all the meals, is the famous sea day brunch.”

On most voyages, Azamara takes all guests ashore for a private evening event, included in the fare, with music, dancing and the culture of the destination. Danny says it's one of his favorite parts of sailing Azamara.

Azamara pioneered late nights and overnights in port, so guests can enjoy the cruise and still dig deep into each place. Azamara's four ships reach all seven continents, and shore excursions get a dedicated space on board.
