Celebrity’s 2028–2029 Caribbean Season Is Here, Led by the Brand-New Celebrity Xcite

Celebrity's 2028–2029 Caribbean season is on sale: the brand-new Celebrity Xcite, a renewed Reflection, first-ever Edge Series weekends, and Danny's favorites on all ten ships.

Ten ships, five homeports, a brand-new Edge Series ship and a renewed Reflection. Here’s where every ship sails, what I love on each one, and how to get the best staterooms before they’re gone.

The Celebrity Xcel, a modern mega-ship cruise vessel, is photographed anchored in clear blue ocean

Celebrity Xcel at sea. Her twin, the brand-new Celebrity Xcite, debuts from Miami in November 2028.

Celebrity opened its 2028–2029 Caribbean season on November 3, 2026. Ten ships sail from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, Tampa and San Juan between October 2028 and April 2029. The headline is the brand-new Celebrity Xcite, which debuts from Miami on November 18, 2028. Winter sailings are on sale now, and summer 2028 Caribbean sailings open December 9, 2026.

I’ll be honest: this is the deployment I’ve been waiting for. More Edge Series ships in the Caribbean than ever, a brand-new ship, and a Reflection rebuilt from the inside out. I couldn’t be more excited about an incredible way to get away to the tropics when the weather turns chilly.

The Season at a Glance

Every homeport and port of call on Celebrity’s 2028–2029 Caribbean season.

  • New ship: Celebrity Xcite debuts from Miami on November 18, 2028, with 6- to 8-night Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings.
  • First ever: 3-night Bahamas weekends on an Edge Series ship (Celebrity Beyond, nine sailings).
  • Renewed: Celebrity Reflection returns with 13 new spaces from her March 2027 transformation.
  • Bucket list: six Panama Canal partial transits on Beyond, the most Celebrity has offered.
  • Island-hopping: five port days on every 7-night Celebrity Silhouette sailing from San Juan.
  • Holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s on nearly every ship, plus Mardi Gras in New Orleans from Tampa.

My Take

The ship I’d book first: Celebrity Beyond. Having shorter options on Beyond is a huge bonus. You can get to know the ship class and see if you want to explore more, and you get a world-class option for a quick getaway.

The sleeper pick: Celebrity Reflection. I LOVE Solstice Series ships. I really liked the Solstice renovation, and with Reflection they’re taking it even further. I can’t wait to film her update and cruise her!

For island-hoppers: The Silhouette itineraries out of San Juan are nothing short of spectacular. A real deep dive into the Caribbean.

My booking advice: Book now. This is the perfect time to get the exact room or suite you want, usually at some of the best pricing offered. Up to final payment we can always reprice, but if you wait, you most likely won’t get the exact room or suite you want.

Spotlight: Celebrity Xcite, the Newest Edge Series Ship

Couple relaxing on in-pool loungers at the Pool Club on Celebrity Xcel

The Celebrity Pool Club on Celebrity Xcel, one of the new spaces Xcite is expected to carry over.

Celebrity Xcite is the sixth Edge Series ship and the twin of Celebrity Xcel, which debuted in November 2025. Her steel was cut in Saint-Nazaire, France, on October 23, 2025, the same day Celebrity took delivery of Xcel.

Her first season. Xcite’s maiden Caribbean voyage is an 8-night Thanksgiving-week sailing from Miami on November 18, 2028, to Samaná, St. Thomas, Antigua and Tortola. Through April 2029 she mostly sails 7-night Eastern Caribbean routes, many calling at Samaná during humpback whale season, plus Western Caribbean, Christmas and New Year’s sailings.

What she’ll have on board. Every Edge Series signature, from the Magic Carpet and Infinite Verandas to The Retreat, plus the spaces that debuted on Xcel: The Bazaar, Bora, Attic at The Club, the Celebrity Pool Club and the Hydra Room. Celebrity has hinted at a few new ideas too, possibly including the Roman-style Trattoria Rossa. The full venue list and deck plans aren’t out yet; we’ll share them as soon as Celebrity does.

Things I’m looking forward to on Xcite

  • Tuscan is my personal favorite of Xcel’s four main restaurants, and it’s one I’d look forward to on Xcite. ▶︎ Watch at 31:25
  • Xcel’s theater productions blew my mind. That’s the kind of entertainment I’d look forward to on her twin. ▶︎ Watch at 17:25
  • The Sunset Veranda is my favorite veranda type on Xcel. I’d look forward to those aft wake views as we sail away. ▶︎ Watch at 0:12

Best for: couples and families who enjoy varied dining, lively entertainment and adults-only relaxation spaces.

Frequently Asked Questions

When can I book Celebrity’s 2028–2029 Caribbean cruises?

Now. Winter 2028–2029 Caribbean sailings, including Celebrity Xcite’s inaugural season, opened November 3, 2026. Summer 2028 Caribbean sailings open December 9, 2026. Opening week gives you the widest choice of suites, connecting staterooms and holiday dates.

When does Celebrity Xcite debut, and where does she sail?

Xcite’s first Caribbean sailing leaves Miami on November 18, 2028: an 8-night Thanksgiving-week voyage to Samaná, St. Thomas, Antigua and Tortola. Through April 2029 she sails 6- to 8-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries from Miami, including Christmas and New Year’s.

Which Celebrity ship is best for the Southern Caribbean?

For the most islands, I’d look at Silhouette from San Juan, with five port days on every 7-night sailing, or the 9- to 12-night voyages on Ascent, Beyond and Eclipse from Fort Lauderdale, which reach Barbados, St. Lucia, Martinique and Dominica. For Grenada, choose Ascent or Silhouette.

Is there a short Celebrity cruise in the Caribbean?

Yes. Celebrity Beyond offers the first-ever 3-night Edge Series getaways from Fort Lauderdale, and Eclipse and Summit sail 3- to 5-night Key West and Bahamas escapes.

Does Celebrity sail to the Panama Canal from Florida?

Yes. Celebrity Beyond sails six 11-night Panama Canal partial transits from Fort Lauderdale, entering the Gatún Locks and pairing the canal with the ABC islands and Grand Cayman.
