What’s New on Legend Compared With Icon and Star?
Legend keeps the Icon Class favorites, like Category 6, the AquaDome, Central Park, Surfside and the Pearl. Here’s what she adds or changes:
- Royal Railway – Legend Station. A five-course immersive dinner aboard train carriages, themed around the Silk Routes. It’s only on Legend.
- Hollywoodland Supper Club. Legend’s take on the Icon Class supper club. It’s a multi-course dinner inspired by old Hollywood, with each course paired with a cocktail and live music.
- Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The Broadway musical makes its debut at sea in the Royal Theater, with a 16-piece live orchestra.
- America’s Got Talent LIVE on Legend of the Seas. A new show featuring performers from the TV series.
- The most dining at sea. Royal Caribbean counts 28 ways to dine on Legend, more than any other ship. The included AquaDome Market food hall now has five concepts, plus a juice and smoothie bar that Danny notes used to be in the spa on the other ships.
- A redesigned Ultimate Family Townhouse. Three stories, an in-suite slide and dedicated entertainment spaces for the whole family.
- More rooms for families. Royal Caribbean says Legend has more family rooms than any other ship in the fleet.
- A new Lost Dunes mini golf course on Thrill Island, with a shipwreck theme.
- A bigger casino with a smoke-free level. On our tour, Danny found the two-story casino “quite a bit bigger” than on Icon or Star. The smoke-free casino is on Deck 3, and the main casino is on Deck 4.
- A redesigned Music Hall. It has more room to spread out, with a bar on each level.
- New shops on the Royal Promenade, including 6th & Main for custom embroidery and patches, and Etched & Aged for personalized keepsakes.

What Are the Eight Neighborhoods on Legend of the Seas?
Like her sisters, Legend is laid out in eight neighborhoods, each with its own food, drinks and things to do. That way, you can settle into one area for the day without crossing the ship. Here’s what’s in each one.

Chill Island
Chill Island is the main pool deck. At its center is Royal Bay, the largest pool at sea, with a lap lane down the middle and in-water loungers along the edges. Across from it is the Cove Pool, an infinity pool with two large hot tubs and shade under the awning. Higher up are an oversized hot tub shaped like a champagne glass, the Cloud 17 infinity pool and the Swim & Tonic swim-up bar. The Lime & Coconut bar spans three-plus decks with four bars. El Loco Fresh serves included tacos, nachos and burritos, and Sprinkles has included soft serve. You can also book a private casita with a call button for drink service (extra cost).
Danny’s tip: “Cloud 17 is the spot to be for sail away. There’s nothing quite like that steel drum playing as you sail away.”

Thrill Island
Thrill Island is home to Category 6, the largest waterpark at sea, and it’s included in your fare. Its six slides include a family raft slide, drop slides and racer slides. Crown’s Edge is part skywalk, part zip line, 154 feet above the ocean (extra cost). You’ll also find the rock climbing wall and the new Lost Dunes mini golf course, and the FlowRider surf simulator is all the way aft. Basecamp has a bar for the grown-ups and an included restaurant serving smashburgers and tots.
Danny’s tip: “I love coming up to Category 6 as soon as it opens and then late into the evening. Those are the two times when it’s less used.”

Central Park
Central Park is an open-air garden with more than 30,500 real plants, living walls and full-time horticulturists to care for them. It’s home to Izumi Sushi & Hibachi, Chops Grille, Park Café (with included cookies and the famous Kummelweck sandwich), the Izumi in the Park takeout window, Bubbles champagne bar and Lou’s, a jazz club that opens onto the park in the evening. It looks even better at night.
Danny’s tip: “Izumi in the Park has the best ice cream on board the ship, and it’s not even close. The bubble cones!”

Royal Promenade
The Royal Promenade is the ship’s main street, spread over two levels with floor-to-ceiling ocean windows. At its heart is the Pearl, the world’s largest kinetic art sculpture, which moves to music and helps hold up the ship. Pearl Café sits on top and is open 24/7. Along the Promenade you’ll find the Schooner Bar piano bar, Boleros for Latin music, dueling pianos, the Ale & Arrow pub, Spotlight Karaoke, the mixology-focused 1400 Lobby Bar, Starbucks, Sorrento’s Pizza (included and open late), Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar and Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade. Parties like the Silent Disco Shush party take over the street at night.
Danny’s tip: “If you look closely on the upper Promenade, you can find Legend’s hull number. It’s actually 1402.”

AquaDome
The glass AquaDome sits forward on top of the ship, and it was lifted into place in one piece. Inside, the AquaTheater stages Shockwave, with high divers, slackliners and a ceiling that turns into a waterfall. The AquaDome Market is an included food hall with crêpes, Korean bowls, Cajun gumbo, al pastor tacos, Spanish tapas and the Simply Pressed juice bar. You’ll also find Hooked Seafood, Rye & Bean (coffee by day, cocktails by night) and the Overlook, a climate-controlled lounge with pods and forward-facing views.
Danny’s tip: “Shockwave is the most popular show on the ship. Register early and show up early. And at Rye & Bean, my favorite coffee on board is the coconut cold brew.”

Surfside
Surfside is the family neighborhood, designed for kids about 10 and under, and families can stay there all day. It has Splashaway Bay and Baby Bay, a family pool with views off the back of the ship, a duck-themed carousel, an upgraded playscape, Sugar Beach candy shop, an arcade (extra cost), Surfside Eatery and Surfside Bites, and Pier 7 for sit-down meals. Admiral Awesome reads bedtime stories most nights around 8:00 p.m. The Lemon Post bar pours kid-friendly drinks alongside cocktails for the grown-ups.
Danny’s tip: “Pier 7 is my family’s all-time favorite. The sea day brunch is absolutely out of this world, and don’t sleep on the Santa Maria steak at dinner.”

The Hideaway
The Hideaway is an adults-only retreat at the back of the ship. It has stadium-style loungers, hot tubs, its own bar and an infinity pool suspended over Surfside. It’s relaxed during the day and livelier in the evening.
Danny’s tip: “My all-time favorite loungers are the ones looking out the back of the ship. The infinity pool is the best Instagram spot on this ship.”

Suite Neighborhood
The Suite Neighborhood is reserved for suite guests. It includes Coastal Kitchen, the suite restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, which looks down over the AquaTheater. You’ll also find the Suite Lounge, with a bar and light bites throughout the day, and The Grove suite sun deck, with its own pool, hot tub, daybeds, bar and a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant.
Danny’s tip: “I absolutely love the watermelon and feta salad. It’s my favorite up here.”

How Many Pools Are on Legend of the Seas?
Legend has seven pools and 10 whirlpools. Here are the pools and water areas we filmed on our tour:
- Royal Bay (Chill Island): The largest pool at sea, with a lap lane and in-water loungers. Danny says it’s perfect for laps in the morning.
- The Cove Pool (Chill Island): An infinity pool with two large hot tubs and shade.
- Cloud 17 (Chill Island): An infinity-style pool with seating that stretches aft. It’s the place to be for sail away.
- Swim & Tonic (Chill Island): The adults-only swim-up bar.
- The Hideaway: The adults-only infinity pool suspended over Surfside.
- Surfside’s family pool: An infinity pool for families, facing aft, next to Splashaway Bay and Baby Bay.
- The Grove: The suite-guest pool and hot tub on the suite sun deck.
Add in Category 6, the FlowRider and Splashaway Bay, and there’s plenty of water to go around.

Suite classes: Star, Sky and Sea
Royal Caribbean groups its suites into three tiers:
- Star Class gets everything Royal offers. That includes a Royal Genie who coordinates your dining, entertainment and seats, an unlimited beverage package, unlimited specialty dining, VOOM internet for every guest and included gratuities. On Legend, Star Class includes the Royal Loft Suite, the Icon Loft Suites (see our Accessible Icon Loft Suite tour) and the Ultimate Family Townhouse.
- Sky Class includes a Suite Concierge, priority boarding, Coastal Kitchen for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Suite Lounge and The Grove sun deck. Legend’s Sky Class suites include the Infinite Grand Suite, Grand Suite, Sunset Corner Suite, Sunset Suite, Panoramic Suite, Sky Junior Suite (also in an accessible version) and Sunset Junior Suite.
- Sea Class is the Junior Suite. It adds space, a tub, upgraded bath amenities, robes and a Lavazza coffee maker, and you can dine at Coastal Kitchen in the evening when it’s available.
Suite inclusions vary by category and can change, so your Harr Travel advisor will confirm exactly what comes with your suite.
The Ultimate Family Townhouse
This is the top suite on the ship. It’s a three-level Star Class townhouse with an in-suite slide, a media room with a popcorn machine, a dining room with interactive game tables, a Lego wall, four sleeping areas and three bathrooms. It sleeps up to eight. The private balcony has a hot tub, and the lower level opens straight into Surfside. On our tour, Danny pointed out that Sugar Beach candy is included for townhouse guests.
Sky Class suite highlights
The Infinite Grand Suite is one of Danny’s all-time favorites. The balcony window drops at the press of a button, so the whole space becomes part of your living room. The Panoramic Suite has no step-out balcony. Instead, it has panoramic windows looking through the AquaDome glass, and it’s only steps from The Grove. Danny says many families traveling with kids actually prefer that setup. The Sunset Suites and Sunset Corner Suites face aft for wake views, and the corner suites have wraparound balconies with a dining table.
Family staterooms
Legend is built for families. The Family Ocean View Balcony and Family Infinite Ocean View Balcony sleep up to six. They have a separate bunk nook for kids, with a TV for each bunk, and a split bathroom. Connecting Ocean View Balconies share an outer door when you book both. In Surfside, the Surfside Family View Balcony and Surfside Family View Interior put you right above the family neighborhood. Danny is candid that the Surfside balconies look across at other balconies, so they’re not very private.
Balcony, ocean view and interior staterooms
- Ocean View Balcony, Infinite Ocean View Balcony, Infinite Central Park View Balcony and Accessible Ocean View Balcony. Danny personally prefers the infinite balcony layout.
- Panoramic Ocean View (floor-to-ceiling windows looking out through the AquaDome) and Ocean View.
- Interior Plus (with a walk-in closet), Spacious Interior, Central Park View Interior and the standard Interior Stateroom.
Every room we toured has a Royal King bed that splits into twins, a large interactive TV, a safe, a mini fridge and US, European, USB and USB-C outlets. Standard rooms have a shower with a bench seat. Danny is 6’6″, and he fits just fine.
Shows and Entertainment on Legend
Royal Caribbean counts five world-class shows included in your fare. They include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and America’s Got Talent LIVE in the Royal Theater, Shockwave in the AquaTheater and Fusion at Absolute Zero, the largest ice-skating arena at sea. There’s also live music in the redesigned Music Hall, at Lou’s jazz club and all around the ship. Here are two previews we filmed on board:
Danny’s tip: “Sign up for those shows as soon as they’re available. They’re absolutely out of this world.”

Where Does Legend of the Seas Sail?
Legend spends her summers on 7-night Western Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona and Rome (Civitavecchia). Starting in November 2026, she sails from Fort Lauderdale on 6-night Western Caribbean and 8-night Southern Caribbean cruises. The Southern Caribbean cruises call at Aruba and Curaçao, and every Caribbean cruise visits Perfect Day CocoCay.
Legend’s Veterans Day Naming Ceremony
Royal Caribbean will officially name Legend of the Seas in Fort Lauderdale on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2026. Her godmother is retired U.S. Air Force Gen. Lori J. Robinson, the nation’s first female combatant commander and a former leader of NORAD and U.S. Northern Command, who served for 37 years. The ceremony will also honor veterans, active-duty service members and military families. Danny is an Air Force veteran himself, so this one means a lot to our team.
