Meghan Trainor Officially Christens Utopia of the Seas!
The World's Biggest Weekend is just getting started as Utopia of the Seas was officially christened and Meghan Trainor named the Godmother!
The most highly anticipated cruise ship of the summer has finally arrived! Royal Caribbean’s brand new Oasis Class vessel, Utopia of the Seas, was christened on July 15th in an official ceremony held in the ship’s famous AquaTheater. GRAMMY award winning artist Meghan Trainor has been named Utopia’s official godmother- a long-standing maritime tradition.
“It’s an incredible honor to join the Royal Caribbean family as godmother of Utopia of the Seas and set the tone for the parties to come. The best part is that we get to bring that weekend energy to the stage with my family and fans. What’s better than being on vacation with the people you love and dancing to your favorite music? Let’s make some beautiful memories and get this party started!” Trainer said of her new role.

World’s Biggest Weekend
Royal Caribbean has declared Utopia the “World’s Biggest Weekend”, as the ship begins her career taking guests on 3 and 4 night cruises through the Caribbean, with itineraries featuring stops at Perfect Day at CocoCay- Royal’s fantastic private island in the Bahamas. Between Utopia and CocoCay, guests will be able to experience:
- 18 thrill-inducing slides
- 10 pools
- 7 beaches
- 23 bars and lounges
- Dozens of delicious dining venues
All on one weekend getaway!
We cannot wait to see and experience more of this beautiful ship, and with the teaming up of Royal Caribbean, Meghan Trainor, and Utopia, the World’s Biggest Weekend is just getting started!
