Royal Announced It’s 7th Oasis Class Ship – Coming in 2028
Royal Caribbean has just announced an order for a 7th Oasis Class ship, coming in 2028. Utopia of the Seas will also be debuting in summer!
Royal Caribbean has been making waves in the industry this past year, and isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Icon of the Seas made her debut in January, with the 6th Oasis ship Utopia of the Seas set to sail in summer of this year. Star of the Seas will be introduced in 2025, and now Royal has partnered with French shipbuilder Chantiers de l’Atlantique to create the 7th Oasis Class ship- coming in 2028!
Oasis Class Revolutionized
This is ground-breaking news, as Utopia was long expected to be the last of the Oasis Class ships. It is once again proving how popular the Oasis ships have been, and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.
The Oasis Class revolutionized the industry with the creation of the neighborhood concept, including open-air spaces such as Central Park, and the Boardwalk down the center of the ship. They created the standard that the Icon Class is now continuing, and we cannot wait to see what Royal has in store for Oasis #7 in four years!
Jason Liberty, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group made the announcement, “While we eagerly anticipate the debut of Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas this summer, we’re already dreaming up her sister ship and the next installation in the brand’s extremely popular Oasis Class. Across our three brands, we are focused on continuously challenging ourselves to deliver the ultimate vacation experience.”
The order has been placed with Chantiers de l’Atlantique, and is contingent upon financing, which is expected to be completed late this year.
